The following years saw Radek in the role of Assistant Coach with the Australian Paralympic Cycling Squad (and Head Coach of the New South Wales Squad), and he was involved with the Australian Team at the 2001 IPC European Championships, the 2002 IPC World Championships and the 2003 pre-season preparation. During this time, he also completed an AIS coaching scholarship and graduated from the University of Queensland Elite Sports Coaching program.

At the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games, the 4 NSW members of the Australian Paralympic Team, who had been coached by Radek, won 3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
