Turbo Training Sessions

- “Zoom in Zones” Turbo Sessions are specific training sessions conducted indoors, using
trainers with a power meter; also you can do it on your bike. This hype of training specifically targets the cyclist's weak areas, so extra emphasis is given to ensuring the rider's pedalling techniques as well as the seating position are both correct.
- For those athletes who subscribe to my regular training program, this training occurs once a week. The program for the Turbo Sessions and their structure is supplied to the athletes each week before the training. This runs for approximately 90 minutes.
- Future Turbo Sessions are going to be conducted on the basis of specific individual or group bookings. To arrange an appointment, please call Radek on 0418-288-097. Beginner cyclists are all welcome as well - I will be pleased to assist them with improving their pedalling technique and gaining initial riding confidence.
The turbo training sessions that are available include:
- lactate tolerance - interval training (this improves the ability of the body to deal with elevated lactate levels which occur during the times of maximum load)
- strength endurance training (this assists with improving one's climbing ability as well as the necessary strength needed to push higher gears)
- speed endurance training (improves riding dynamics through the use of higher tempo and pedalling cadence)
- time-trial training (the ability to pace oneself through maintaining appropriate tempo, focus on riding technique and optimal breathing while in full aerodynamic position)
- special sessions based on your test results and personal performance data
Spin classes and general fitness sessions are being offered in co-operation with the quality service of ![]()
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to advertise training start time so that you can set up your bike.
- For the session to be 100% effective you need to bring with you your heart rate monitor and a bike computer with cadence.
- Bring with you your training program or call before the session and a program that meets your needs will be supplied.
- It is recommended that you use a cheaper quick release (skewer) in your rear wheel when using the turbo trainer.
- Showers will be available after the session.
